How you can get involved in the Alamosa School District

  • Participate in a school or district accountability committee. Contact your child’s school for dates and times.

  • Volunteer at your child’s school.  Contact your child’s school for more information.

  • Watch for and read school newsletters for parents.

  • Participate in parent nights hosted by the elementary schools and middle schools. These nights provide parents with training in a wide variety of topics such as accessing student grades and attendance, helpful homework tips, and strategies in reading instruction.

  • Attend Parent/Teacher conferences in the fall and spring of each school year.

  • Participate in the ASU’s Parent Institute. This institute is generally a day long event with mini-conferences on different topics from which parents may choose.

  • Check you student’s attendance, assignments and grades, 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Parents have access to their students’ academic performance at all times via the district’s web based data collection system.  Computers are available at the Public Library, Adams State College and each school library to ensure that all parents have access.

  • Check the online calendar and Daily Bulletin for your student’s school to see upcoming events.
